Who: Dairy Farmers of America, Garelick Farms and Central New York Labor Council
What: 300 Gallons of Milk donation for UMWA Local 717 members
When: Wednesday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
Where: 144 E. Main Street, Ilion, NY 13357 (Francesca’s Parking Lot)
Why: In the wake of the Remington Outdoors Company’s recent bankruptcy and the mass termination of UMWA Local 717 workers without due compensation, it is critical for our community to support former Remington employees. The Central New York Labor Council, its affiliates and local business recognize that this recent development is further compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic which continues to plague both our country and our local area. Now more than ever, standing in solidarity with the brothers and sisters of UMWA Local 717 is of paramount importance to the Mohawk Valley organized labor community, as well as the allies and affiliates of labor around the region.
